This 176bhp Cooper S Exclusive immediately caught my eye. Finished in Enigmatic Black with Malt Brown Chester leather, it's a classy, eye-catching combination. Its previous owner purchased it from MINI and it's now come directly to us, with 32,000 miles and Full Service History.

The colour combination gets even better inside. Malt Brown Chester leather brings warmth and a premium feel to the cabin, while the MINI Excitement Pack lets you change the ambient lighting colour to suit your mood. Outside, the Piano Black Exterior Pack, ALL4 styling, darkened rear glass, black roof rails and 19in two-tone Turnstile alloys give the Countryman a sportier, more purposeful presence.

There's plenty here to make everyday driving easier too. Navigation Plus keeps you connected, the heated front windscreen is a welcome feature on cold mornings and Adaptive LED headlights improve visibility at night. The rear camera and parking sensors take the stress out of tighter spaces, while Park Assist can even steer the Countryman into a suitable space. A generous boot and automatic tailgate add to its everyday practicality.

For me, the Cooper S is a great balance. The 176bhp 2.0-litre engine has plenty of power and feels really responsive with the Steptronic gearbox, but without the harder ride of the JCW. You still get that fun MINI feel, but with a more comfortable ride and all the extra space of the Countryman, making it a better all-round family car.

It's the overall combination that makes this one for me. I really like the Enigmatic Black with the Malt Brown leather, the black styling gives it a sportier look and it's got a great specification. It's a really nice example and one I was very pleased to buy.
